Natalie Portman has given birth to her third child, her first with partner Tanguy Destable. Multiple sources confirmed on September 5, 2026, that the 45-year-old actress delivered the baby in Paris at some point in August .
The newborn joins Portman’s two older children, son Aleph, 15, and daughter Amalia, 9, whom she shares with her ex-husband, director-choreographer Benjamin Millepied . Portman and Millepied, who met on the set of ‘Black Swan,’ finalized their divorce in 2024 after 11 years of marriage .
Portman first confirmed her pregnancy in April 2026 during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. ‘Tanguy and I are very excited,’ she said at the time . She added, ‘I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle. I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant. I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing’ .
In the same interview, Portman reflected on the experience of becoming a mother for the third time. ‘There’s a calm [this time] and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me. That makes the experience so beautiful every day,’ she said .
Portman’s relationship with Destable, a 46-year-old Paris-based musician and DJ who performs as Tepr, was first confirmed in March 2025 . A source told Us Weekly at the time that they had been seeing each other for a few months and were ‘having a great time together’ .
The family resides in Paris, where Portman has said she enjoys the privacy and the polite nature of the culture. ‘All the kids that come to my house are, like, ‘Bonjour, Madame’ – and give me the bise [cheek-to-cheek kiss],’ she told Net-a-Porter in May 2025 .
Photographs obtained by Page Six showed Portman and Destable taking a stroll in Paris with Destable carrying the new arrival in a baby carrier . No further details, including the baby’s name or gender, have been revealed .
