All seats for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public programme in Vadodara were booked within one hour of free registrations opening on BookMyShow, with over 42,000 additional applicants placed on a waiting list . The event, titled ‘NaMo for Viksit Bharat,’ is scheduled for September 8 at the Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) Pavilion Ground .

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) used the private ticketing platform to manage registrations for the event in what officials described as a first-of-its-kind initiative . Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi confirmed the numbers on X, stating that the demand for registrations was around three times the available capacity .

Entry to the event will be fully digital, with registered participants receiving an M-Ticket through their BookMyShow account . The M-Ticket will contain a live QR code that will be scanned for verification at the venue . The entire process, from registration and identity verification to venue entry and seating management, is being handled digitally to manage crowd flow more efficiently .

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay foundation stones for development projects worth more than Rs 35,000 crore in the Gujarat city . This includes dedicating three sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) to the nation and flagging off new freight and passenger train services . Special fan zones have also been arranged for people who could not secure seats at the main venue .
