The 8th edition of the PM Mementos e-Auction is live until October 2, 2026, offering 1,498 mementos received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The collection includes items representing India’s spiritual traditions, traditional craftsmanship, and cultural heritage, with proceeds directed to the Namami Gange Programme.
The auction was launched on September 17, 2026, by Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. An accompanying exhibition is on display at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi.
Hero Objects and Base Prices
The collection features 50 identified Hero Objects. A silver memento of Lord Ram from Karnataka carries the highest base price at Rs 13.50 lakh. A silver replica of the Kakatiya Kala Thoranam is listed at Rs 9 lakh.
A framed Tree of Life Gond art painting has a base price of Rs 7.50 lakh. A Jagannath Parivar on Chariot artwork starts at Rs 6 lakh. A 99.99 percent fine gold-plated Radha Krishna artwork is priced at Rs 5.40 lakh.
Kerala Cultural Mementos
Kerala contributes 32 mementos to the auction. The collection includes an Orange Nettoor Petti, a traditional jewellery box used historically in aristocratic households to store ornaments and sacred objects.
A miniature Chundan Vallam represents Kerala’s maritime traditions and the Onam boat races. A handcrafted model of the historic Beypore Uru, created by the National Skill Training Institute in Calicut, is also included.
A Bhairavan Theyyam Ritual Art Sculpture represents the ritual dance-art tradition of North Kerala. The sculpture features characteristic headgear, facial makeup, and breastplates.
A framed painting of Radha, Krishna, and a Gopika created by artists at the Institute of Mural Painting, Guruvayur Devaswom, uses the traditional five-colour Panchavarna technique on specially prepared cement sheet.
Odisha Cultural Heritage
Odisha contributes 62 mementos to the auction. The collection features a Jagannath Parivar on Chariot depicting Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra seated on an intricately detailed chariot drawn by four sculpted horses.
A Pattachitra painting depicts the Puri Rath Yatra with deities in their chariot amid scenes of dance, music, and celebration. Works in Cuttack silver filigree or Tarakasi are also featured.
Sambalpuri textiles and Ikat are represented through a Maa Samaleswari devotional icon created using the traditional Bandha technique. A framed print documents the Panchu Dola Melana festival showing devotees carrying colourful miniature temple structures.
Auction Details and Previous Editions
The e-auction is accessible through the official portal at pmmementos.gov.in. Interested bidders must create an account using a mobile number or email ID with Aadhaar authentication.
The PM Mementos auction was first conducted in January 2019. Auctions have collectively generated more than Rs 52 crore so far. The highest-value individual sale to date remains Neeraj Chopra’s Tokyo Olympics javelin, auctioned for Rs 1.5 crore in 2021.
The exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art runs from September 17 to October 31, 2026. Entry is Rs 20, with timings from 10 AM to 6 PM on Tuesday through Friday and 11 AM to 8 PM on weekends.
